Convoy XTG2 - June 1943 - Mediterranean: I am trying to trace anyone who served on the escort ships of convoy XTG2 from Alexandria to Gibralter in June 1943. Escorts were HMS Beaufort (Lead Escort), HMS Aldenham, HMS Exmoor, HHMS Kanaris, HMS Primrose and HMAS Maryborough. Incident of interest is the ditching of a Hawker Hurricane HL709 (see picture) escorting the convoy on 20th June 1943. Thank you. 14/5/2009

Wright, Stephen - Trying to trace: I had a best friend who went into the Navy in, or around 1974 and have since lost contact. Last known was App MEA serving in Scotland, believe he was later posted to Plymouth? His name is Stephen Wright, born in Folkestone around 1955. 13/5/2009
Hill, Donald - Old school friend: Looking for an old school friend, Donald Hill, who joined HMS Collingwood as a cadet in 1947/48 as an Artificer Electrical. 12/5/2009
Beira Patrol (1966-1975): Were you involved in the Beira Patrol (1966-1975) off East Africa or the Cod Wars (1958, 1972-73, 1975-76)? Navy News plans to produce supplements covering these operations using the experiences of officers and ratings who were actually involved. If you have any memories, anecdotes or photographs (which will be scanned and returned) of these operations, please send them to 'Beira Patrol' or 'Cod Wars', Navy News, HMS Nelson, Portsmouth PO1 3HH, or email them to edit@navynews.co.uk Please keep accounts brief, and provide details of events and people featured in photographs. 7/5/2009
Andrew, HMS/m - 1970 to 1975: Searching for photographs taken during the last commission of HMS Andrew. I have some already and would like to expand collection to present at the next reunion 2010. Any photos will be returned but would be happy for computer generated pictures. 7/5/2009
Burdett, John Joseph: I am trying to gather any information on my late uncle John Joseph Burdett. All I have is an old photo of him in uniform, saying that he was killed on active service in 1942, aged 21. I believe he served on HMS NOTTS COUNTY. I know his grave was at sea as his name is on the memorial at Lowestoft. As the only surviving relative of John I would like any information about him, or the address of anyone I could contact. I would also like to include any medals that he may have acquired to proudly place with his photo on display. 4/5/2009

Ark Royal Decommissioning Book: I served on 892 Squadron on Ark Royal and left about 6 months before it was turned to razor blades, so I didn't get a copy of the decommissioning book. As my picture in Berlin is emblazoned in the middle of it, I am very keen to buy a copy. Does anyone know where I can get one from? 3/5/2009
